Intricate embellishments on hand woven textiles are an Indian specialty. In these cushions the rich embroidery and beading are paired with a minimalist take on colours and patterns. Dotted textures are made up of knots in the embroidery yarn, soft fluffy yarn adorns fine shot silk.

The eagerness of the master embroiderers to experiment using their good old techniques in new ways was overwhelming. Sitting and working together around the embroidery frames in their small workshop in a village near Kolkata, India eventually lead to stunning results and satisfaction among all involved.

…to big city exhibition

Le Bon Marché in Paris invited Wonderable to set up a sales exhibition in their home textiles department. The exhibition showcased the brand’s refined craftsmanship, featuring not just cushions but also lighting and small furniture, all Wonderable signature style.
